MAGNECOR IGNITION CABLES FOR INDUSTRIAL AND OTHER USES

Magnecor ignition cables were originally designed for automotive applications. However, over many years, we have been been supplying ever-increasing amounts of our ignition cables and parts to other industries.

Magnecor has not promoted its ignition cables to other industries, therefore we can only assume our ignition cables have been discovered by engineers searching for EMI suppressed high-grade heat resistant ignition cable that is not available elsewhere.

For many years, our sales have indicated that Magnecor ignition cables are used for at least the following non-automotive purposes:

* Ignition equipment for ovens, boilers, heaters, furnaces etc.;

* Oil and gas field remote flair ignition devices, equipment and gas engines used by oil and gas field and energy suppliers;

* Gasoline, LPG and natural gas (CNG) powered industrial engines used in lift trucks, power generators, stationary engines and other equipment etc., particularly if prone to overheating;

* Controlled explosive demolition;

* Thermal, high velocity oxy-fuel coating spraying;

* Various other industrial, aero, marine and military applications, particularly applications that require EMI suppression and high heat tolerance.

R-100 RACING CABLE 10mm

Designed for racing engines using racing ignitions, supercharging and exotic fuels. Extra large 10mm jacket made from aerospace extreme heat-resistant silicone rubber to provide additional heat protection and insulation. Exclusive Magnecor 2.5mm Metallic Inductance Suppressed Conductor will suppress EMI indefinitely. Can be used on street vehicles and industrial applications if space allows.


     
 

KV85 COMPETITION CABLE 8.5mm

Originally designed for racing and high-performance engines using high-output and racing ignitions, turbocharging and supercharging. Entire jacket made from aerospace extreme heat-resistant silicone rubber. Exclusive Magnecor 2.5mm Metallic Inductance Suppressed Conductor will suppress EMI indefinitely, allowing this cable to be used with any ignition system on road and water vehicles, as well as stationary engines using CNG and LPG gas. Can be fitted into most original cable holders. Extensively used for extra long runs to remote high-voltage igniters when heat resistance and EMI suppression is important.


     
 

KV85 COMPETITION CABLE CN25 SERIES 8.5mm

Features Magnecor's exclusive 2.5mm Metallic Inductance Suppressed CN25 conductor, consisting of a special alloy wire precisely wound at 200 turns per inch over a ferromagnetic core. This ignition cable is specifically designed and constructed to overcome the severe RFI problems associated with low-resistance spiral conductor ignition cables, ever-failing carbon conductors and the need for additional suppressors, making it an ideal choice for land and water vehicles in which Ham radios, telephone and TV equipment, 2-way radios, off-shore communication equipment, and high powered sound equipment etc. is installed. High capacity conductor eliminates the spark energy reduction associated with all "suppression" ignition cables and supplementary suppressors normally used to solve severe RFI problems. Entire jacket made from aerospace extreme heat-resistant silicone rubber.


     
 

ELECTROSPORTS 80 CABLE 8mm

Original equipment replacement. Designed to improve original ignition system performance on road vehicles using either electronic engine management systems or carburetors. Ideal for LPG gas conversion engines. Excellent RFI and EMI suppression. Flexible high-strength all silicone construction will allow cable to fit into original 7mm cable holders.

Direct replacement for 7mm original equipment carbon conductor leads (wires) with excellent RFI and EMI suppression. Overcomes problems associated with limited-life carbon conductors and poorly suppressed aftermarket spiral conductor leads on modern engines. Cables can be supplied in bulk, cut to any length or supplied as ready-to-fit ignition leads with terminations and insulating boots attached to suit your application. Complete ignition lead (wire) sets can also be supplied. Heavy duty stainless steel and brass terminals and insulating boots and a heavy duty professional crimping tool can be ordered separately.

IMPORTANT: Magnecor has a considerable number of metal terminals and insulating boots in it's product line. Please take into account that particular terminals need to be matched to particular insulating boots. Unless you are knowledgeable about which terminals fit which boots, please ask for assistance and advice when ordering. Magnecor can also crimp special application terminals and fit special insulating boots to any cable as specified by the customer.

Heavy duty crimping tool designed specifically to crimp metal terminals to ignition cable. The tool steel jaws are stepped from 6mm to 15mm wide to accommodate the full crimp section of the various heavy duty stainless steel and brass terminals supplied by Magnecor or terminals used by customers for special applications. Can be used to crimp terminals onto ignition cable from 7mm to 10mm in diameter. The frame of the tool is made from quality materials with longevity in mind. Actual size of tool is 290mm in overall length.

This is not an inexpensive tool, but it's a worthwhile investment if you are always crimping terminals to ignition cables. This professional crimping tool is superior in every respect to the narrow-jawed mild steel crimping pliers and the two piece aluminum closing tools (which are usually rendered useless after two crimp operations) currently available in the USA market.
